Inclusive Transport for All Kigalians

Every Ecofleet bus and stop is designed to be usable by everyone — including passengers with mobility, visual, hearing, or cognitive needs. Here's everything you need to know.

On-board Features

What's on every Ecofleet bus

Low-Floor Entry & Ramp

85% of our fleet has level boarding or a deployable ramp at the front door. No steps, no barriers. Drivers are trained to deploy ramps on request.

Audio Stop Announcements

Every bus plays a clear audio announcement before each stop so visually impaired passengers always know where they are.

Digital Stop Display

An interior screen shows the next stop name in large text, current time, and route number — helping passengers with hearing impairments follow the journey.

Priority Seating

The first 4 seats on every bus are reserved for seniors, pregnant women, passengers with disabilities, and those travelling with young children. Clearly marked with blue signage.

Wheelchair Securement

Every low-floor bus has a dedicated wheelchair space with fold-up seating, two-point securing straps, and enough turning radius for standard and powered wheelchairs.

Emergency Assistance Button

A large, clearly marked emergency button near priority seats and wheelchair area connects directly to the driver — useful for passengers who may need sudden support.
